Now put the USB back into the console and boot it up. Now, once you are in the "overlay" folder, this is where you will drop your. Retroarch/.config/retroarch/overlay (this is what my folder path looks like, mabye yours looks different?) Go into your retroarch folder on your USB stick. Once you have retroarch installed on your USB, download your border from the internet or from me if you request it. No linking, discussion or asking for links to actual ROMS, ROM-sharing websites, or other copyright-infringing websites. Also, remember that PSX was the first machine to have legal, commercial emulation with it, and as such, ePSXe is very versatile and was buit around a lot of pre-existing tech and plug-ins.We're a subreddit dedicated to discussing everything related the PlayStation Classic. Now, I am all the way across my living room, and setting the DPI on the desktop icons and text to normal is out of the question, but dpence saved the day as I actually did not know that function could be turned off on individual programs, so, thank you both.Īddressing TGArthur's complaint about ePSXe being complex: Well, yes, I suppose, but that level of complexity helps make the emulator work on a much larger variety of machines, some with truly horrid specs. In case anyone was wondering, the Specs are:Ģx4 GB RAM 1030 2GB GDDR5 (because of course I needed 2160p over HDMI for HTPC use) Yes, so recently I bought an old Dell Optiplex for use as a Home Theater PC and Emu machine, and had this very same problem. I created an account just so I could share my story here and thank Erzesel and dpence for the assist.

I'm sure someone will let us know what the key is though. Unfortunately, I can't remember the actually shortcut key to use the software plug-in. That being said, you want to keep the software plug-in settings as close to the hardware settings as your PC/laptop setup allows you. The software plug-in option is there so if you run into a problem with the hardware plug-in you can switch to the software plug-in on the fly through a keyboard shortcut. It would improve gameplay smoothness and such.

Is there a reason why you only have your VRAM set to 512 mb? Your gfx card/s appears to be more than capable of utilizing 1024 mb. This will allow you to view the game window in fullscreen mode in 4:3 AR on your laptop's 16:9 AR LCD (blackbars and all ). The checkbox for the widescreen fix is just to the right of the Windowed mode- Window size. If you want the game to run in 4:3 AR you have to use the "Use Window size in Fullscreen mode (widescreen fix)" and set the window to ( I guess for your laptop resolution) 1440 x 1050.
